What ROX and What Sux?

What “Sux” in Wall Paint Colors?

Shades of Gray

This versatile but muted neutral has been trending downward for the last couple of years, so it’s time for us to finally make this call.

We turned to it for a sense of calm and restoration from chronic overstimulation, but its ubiquity has drained away any advantages it used to have. Its drabness and lack of personality has come back to the forefront.

It’s time for us to infuse a touch more color into the rooms we inhabit.

What ROX?

True Blues!

Shades of blue across the spectrum have turned up on multiple “color of the year” posts for 2024, and it’s little wonder why. They draw from the color of an unclouded sky and are an ideal replacement as we move past our gray days.

More interesting than the white/off-white family, blue is still cooler and more compatible with more colors than beige and warmer neutrals, a quality especially appreciated in the heat of summer.
