You are cordially invited to participate in an upcoming Focus Group to assist the Arizona Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism with the development of a new 2018-2020 State Service Plan for Arizona. The Focus Group will last about an hour, and will provide you with an opportunity to share your perceptions, opinions, ideas and experience regarding the current and future state of service and volunteerism in your area and in Arizona.  When completed, the State Service Plan will set forth goals, priorities, and strategies for promoting service and volunteerism, leveraging National Service resources to address community needs, and strengthen the state’s service and volunteerism infrastructure.

In addition, following the focus group, there will be a special informational session on the Arizona Service Enterprise Initiative, a new initiative of the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism. The initiative serves to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits to fundamentally leverage volunteers and their skills to address community needs.  The presentation is expected to last approximately 45 minutes.
